TECHNOPARK signs MoU with Hamriya Free Zone Authority

 

TECHNOPARK signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding with Hamriaya Free Zone Authority(HFZA)of Sharjah on 16.6.2011.  The MoU will enable TECHNOPARK and HFZA to work together to strengthen mutual ties and jointly promote growth of IT Industry in both geographies.  Mr T Balakrishnan. IAS, Addl Chief Secretary (IT & Industries) in his special address said Sharjah has been a very important Trading partner for Kerala for many years.  Dr Rashid Al leem, Director General, HFZA who signed the agreement on behalf of HFZA during his address said HFZA would provide total support and special benefits for Kerala based companies desirous of setting up operations there.  Dr Rashid took over the charge of HFZA 11 years ago with 70 local companies and today under his leadership has 5,500 companies with over 137 nationalities working.  Mr Mervin Alexander, CEO, Technopark signed the MoU on behalf of TECHNOPARK.  Mr Mervin Alexander said the MoU provided opportunities for Technopark companies to reach global customers through the West Asia market.

 

Mr M Vasudevan, Senior Manager (Business Development), Technopark, introduced the State IT team to visiting delegation to the HFZA team. Mr K V Rajendran, GM(Technical) presented vote of thanks.  Ms. Ishitha Roy, IAS, Director, Kerala State IT Mission, Mr Koruthu Varghese, Director, Akshaya, Mr Alexander Varghese, CEO, UST Global, CEOs of various companies and all Members of Technopark were present during the function.
